The Rating Of Our Film

12A means that anyone aged 12 or over can go and see the film unaccompanied. The A stands for 'accompanied' and 'advisory'. Children younger than 12 may see the film if they are accompanied by an adult (e.g. someone over the age of 18), who must watch the film with them.

The 12 certificate is just for videos, DVDs and Blu-rays. 12A is for films at the cinema only.

The rating is 12A because in some parts of our film it will contain some violence which may harm the children by making them upset which is why an adult is recommended to stay and watch with them. Which is why parents would need to be there to decide whether it is suitable or not for them to watch. An example of a 12A film is hunger game.

The reason why our film is 12A and not PG is because there will be some sort of violence but not so much but it is best to be 12A so that and adult is there to comfort the child if feeling scared or sad. The problem with PG is that a parent can decide whether they can watch but may not watch the film with them if they are feeling sad or scared.

The survey has been handed out to teens in sixth form, so between 12- 20 and the survey has been given out to both genders (male and female). From this survey I had found out that girls are often the ones to watch drama movies because they find it more interesting to watch and there are a lot of surprises. However boys are less likely to watch our film because there is not enough of action, violence in it, which doesn't interest them.  I had noticed that a lot of people have chosen American drama films as one of their options because it is more realistic than UK films; this is because American films are more touching and they find ways to touch the audiences heart. A lot of our audiences who were females who chose romantic movies to be their favourite genre and drama was their second. We asked 'what attracts you the most to watch drama films' and a lot of their responses were because some people can relate to the film. Also drama move can change the audiences emotion, for example the film can start off with a happy start and end sad or it could be the opposite. I have noticed that mainly females made the effort to fill in the survey.

Precious2009poster.jpg
  1. Precious is a 2009 American drama film directed and co-produced by Lee Daniels. Precious is an adaptation by Geoffrey S. Fletcher of the 1996 novel Push by Sapphire. The film stars Gabourey Sidibe, Mo'Nique, Paula Patton, and Mariah Care
with emotional themes. Dramatic themes such as alcoholism, drug addiction, infidelity, moral dilemmas, racial prejudice, religious intolerance, sexuality, poverty, class divisions, violence against women and corruption put the characters in conflict with themselves, others, society and even natural phenomena. Drama is probably the broadest movie genre and includes subgenres such as romantic drama, sport films, period drama, courtroom drama and crime.

 Rebel without a cause432.jpg
Rebel Without a Cause is a 1955 American drama film about confused suburban, middle-class teenagers. Directed by Nicholas Ray, .Over the years, the film has achieved landmark status for the acting of cultural icon James Dean, fresh from his Academy Award nominated role in East of Eden and who died before the film's release, in his most celebrated role. In 1990, Rebel Without a Cause was added to the preserved films of the United States Library of Congress's National Film Registry as being deemed "culturally, historically, and aesthetically significant".

The story of a rebellious teenager who disobeys his parents, and defies the local school bullies, portrayed the moral decay of American youth. The title was adopted from psychiatrist Robert M. Lindner's 1944 book, Rebel Without a Cause: The Hypnoanalysis of a Criminal Psychopath. The film itself, however, does not reference Lindner's book in any way

1980s-1990s[edit]

In the 1980s, dramatic film put emphasis on highly emotional themes. Do the Right Thing (1989), Spike Lee's debut film, and The Color Purple (1985) were full character studies of African American culture and history. War dramas again played a big part as Platoon (1986) showed the horrors of Vietnam. Das Boot (1981) focused on the German viewpoint of World War II. Drama, with a science fiction edge was a theme when Steven Spielberg directed E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), and Ridley Scott directed Blade Runner (1982), and also The Accused (1988).
"FIGHT CLUB" is embossed on a pink bar of soap in the upper right. Below are head-and-shoulders portraits of Brad Pitt facing the viewer with a broad smile and wearing a red leather jacket over a decorative blue t-shirt, and Edward Norton in a white button-up shirt with a tie and the top button loosened. Norton's body faces right and his head faces the viewer with little expression. Below the portraits are the two actors' names, followed by "HELENA BONHAM CARTER" in smaller print. Above the portraits is "MISCHIEF. MAYHEM. SOAP."

Fight Club is a 1999 American drama film based on the 1996 novel of the same name by Chuck Palahniuk. The film was directed by David Fincher and stars Edward Norton, Brad Pitt, and Helena Bonham Carter. Norton plays the unnamed protagonist, an "everyman" who is discontented with his white-collar job. He forms a "fight club" with soap maker Tyler Durden, played by Pitt, and they are joined by men who also want to fight recreationally. The narrator becomes embroiled in a relationship with him and a dissolute woman, Marla Singer, played by Bonham Carter.

Our company logo

This our company logo, we haven't really given it much thought. "Reach for the stars was the first thing which came to our mind when we heard the background music, it sounded like a shooting star. We've chosen the colour purple because, I love the colour purple because  it represents me.

toy story

The reason I had chosen toy story is because of the of the bright coloure that are being used. These colours could be used because, the film is aimed at young kids who are into cartoon. The bright colour also represent fun and laughter for the young kids, this is what attractes the kids to want to watch and to force their parents to take them to the cinema and watch it.

Just by looking at this picture it will attract many people, it could also be adults who still enjoy watching cartoons and who always want to have a laugh.
Toy story is produced by Pixar animation studios and the directed by John lasseter, was released by Walt Disney pictures. Toy story was the first filmed by Pixar.

toy story is sponsored by Pixar and Walt Disney.
