Review On our News Film
Because we have made changes for our film, we wanted some comments from our class mates to comment on our film and if you listen the comment's are mainly positive. Which puts a smile on our faces.

New Evaluation
The Evaluation
We had to update the evaluation because we had made some changes to our film.
This a new and improved evolution that me and Oumie worked on together.

New Improved Film
we had to Make a change in our film because there was a scene which wasn't focused and if didn't change it will cost us a lot of marks. The fact that we had to redo the scene it meant that we had to change the character because she wasn't not available so we needed to get a new actress which we found. Also we couldn't do it at the same location so we found somewhere else but as you could see even though the location was different we had tried to make it sink in and look like it was meant to be there. Which I think we have done it successfully.

New film
We have decided to change the whole of our film, such as the clothing's the characters wear however we thought we had done a good job with the shots but two of the scene where out of focus which means we may have to do them again. We are happy with the feedback because it means we are learning and every time we improve it, it gets better. however we feel that the acting is much better and realistic.

Old Evaluation's
This is our evaluation, in this slide show it talks about our work and effort we have put in our film. it talks about mise-en-scene, editing, sound, and cine, and the characters role in the film; how their behaviour is like and what class they are from.
This is the finale evolution^. We were told to make it more lively.
Our film
We have now finished editing our film; now on YouTube for other people to see and comment on.
We have made a lot of changes on our film because we were not happy with some parts also the acting but now we are very happy with the changes we have made and we are proud of our film and personally I wouldn't do anything different.
Hope you guys enjoy part two of our film and comment on YouTube when finished.
Personal I would change the main character because we wanted it to be more dramatic and the my acting isn't persuasive to grab the characters attention.
If you watch 2:30 of the film you could see some mistakes such as you could see the camera women in the reflection
Also as you could see in this shot it's not good at all because it only has half of the characters faces in the scene.
We have changed the name, so we can see the full text.
We saw that one of the actress wasn't good enough so we took her out of her film, because she was smiling even doe it was mean to be a sad moment. We made small changes makes a difference to our work and now we are proud to watch it.We have made the changes and uploaded it on YouTube. ^
After watching our film on YouTube we feel that there needs to be an improvement to make it more dramatic. so we suggested on using one of our friends gran to be the mother in our film , because she is older and it will look more believable which will make our film more dramatic.
Test Shots&Rehearsals.
This is just a quick video of when we were filming as you can see from this clip you cannot get things right the first time. we used this video in out film because we can cut out parts we do not want and keep the ones we want to add on to our film. Also when filming this we looked back at it to see what we can do better next time we film.
These are screen shots of some scene from our film

Actor Release Form.

This is me, (Jordan) sighing a release form for the actors, this form gave us permission for us to film them.
We gave this to our actors so that they can agree with everything that we would do in our film. These release also says that we can take pictures of them and videos too, which is a good thing for our film. If we didn't get permission from the actors it would have been a problem with putting it on social network and so on.

This is Eunice Fakelade (mum, in the film) in our film singing the release form.

Mya Yilla (Liane, characters name in the film) signing the contract deal for time to go. we used Mya in our film however in the end we decided to take the scene she was in because it was to long and also her acting wasn't what we wanted and we didn't have enough time to find someone else to replace her.

Micro Analysis Drama Scenes
Micro Analysis Drama Scenes
Camera - shots and Angles: In this scene, they are in the playground and they were about to go into their class, one of the teachers stopped him and the shot with him looking at the man that stopped him; it’s an over the shoulder shot. (3:59).I think that this angel has be used because of the boy’s face expression and (4:00) it was the same angle but on the man, it shows the man’s face expression, I think that the man was scared of the boy like they have some type of history.
Editing: The main character (Trevor) gets the most scene time, that's maybe because his main character. They are a lot of straight cuts.
Mise-en-scene: In this film most of the characters are young teenagers and they are all wearing hoods. Especially when they don't have school and go out with their friends to westend. They are all dressed same with their hats, tracksuits and shoes. (1:27:37)
Sound: The Non-diegetic sound that is used in the playground is when people are talking you can hear children in the background just like in a normal school. They were some urban instrumentals at the beginning of the film, and it went with every emotion that was going on in that scene and the music would go low when someone was talking. (2:02)

Critique From Audience
We videoed an audience to critique our film in a good and bad way. So we know what to improve for our film. He gave us in great detail of information and how we should improve our film. For example at the bigginer of the film we were advices to add in music as we are introducing the film title. This is make sure the audience remembers out film if they were to hear thym tune. Another example will be to get a better camera which doesn't pick up static sounds in the background. He also made good comments such as good back ground music to build emotional tension for the audience. Some use of angles were good aswell. However he also commented that we had quite a lot of jump cuts.
Overall with these critiques it will help us make a better and improved change for our film.

Test Shots And Rehearsals
Sadly, we couldn't take any pictures of our film. This was because we have forgotten to take pictures. In our film we have made a lot of changes since we have made our film this is because, one we didn't have enough time to do certain things so we had to take short cuts which means it will require less time. for example at the very beginning of our film we had decided to film some of the scene in the

Draft Of Our Film
We have finally got on film on YouTube and we are very proud of ourselves. However we only managed to film the ending of our scene because we took too long to start filming which meant we didn't finish our film. But what we have filmed is good enough. We have put a lot of effort into our film and we are both proud. When we do our final film it will be much better than this because we will put more time in to our film. We will continue filming to make our film better and change some parts, also make it more dramatic because at the moment it isn't.We need to make some changes such as getting ride of the casting names at the end.
I will be making some changes in my blog so whenever we film I will upload some parts of our film to show as evidence.

We are editing our film. My partner Oumie and I have done a lot of work on improving our directing skills; we are using the Mac computer to edit our film even though it's quit hard to use. We have got to a clear view of how to use the Mac. In our film Oumie is the director however I also helped directing in the film; I'm also one of the actors in the film. I believe that we have worked great as a team, we also cooperated well together. The beginning was hard because we did know how to start because we both didn't get the course but after some weeks of studying and watching films to get some idea's we managed to make a start which we were confident with. Me and Oumie should be able to finish editing by Friday because it's the deadline. If we were to do this again I would have started early, but I believe that me and Oumie did start our plans early but didn't real communicate with each other as much. Overall to work well with someone on a film you must get along well with your partner and have an open conversation with them about the film.
This is our rough copy and we will be making some changes in our finishing piece at the end of the year. We also will change some of the characters, because we want it to be more dramatic, because genre that we have chosen is drama and the actress and to be more dramatic to make the film much more exciting. We have made mistakes because we add the opening credit at the end even though we were not meant to.
This shouldn't have been at the end but at the beginning.

Font Analysis
We have decided to research some font analysis to figure out which kind of font we would like to use for our font title.
We chose kidulthood because it kind of matches with our film because its an urban film. the picture at the top is of the starting of the opening titles. Me and my partner has decided to use a opening like this for our movie, this is because its simple. we will need to learn how to make the fonts to be like that, so we will need to ask our teacher to help us out.

This is another picture that shows one of the other productions that has helped them to make the film but I don't actually know why its on the film, but I will try and do some research to help me with our film when making our own film font.
We have a logo designed already, we want our font to be nice and simple, and it will have 'A Oumie & Jordan Films, because its by us two and also because its nice and simple which links with a drama set.
As you can see the font that the film production has chosen to be for opening of kidulthood. I think that the text describes a lot, especially on what the film is about, that's why our film font will be similar to this font but the size of the font will be different, this is because I believe that my film is more of girly drama film if that makes sense.
This is the company that we will use in our film and my teacher said that we will have to contact someone that works with Sony, and we will use this in the opening of our film.
My Partner Jordan used Universal for her opening for her film but now because we are working together, we have decided on what we will use for our opening film.
This is just a suggestion of the font that we may use for our font title. The style Adobe Gothic Std B
This font is Elephant

Sound Design
SOUND DESIGN:
We will be using 36 seconds of this YouTube clip to add on to one of the scene as background music.
This will be used in a scene where the main character will be talking with her friend. (They will be have an emotional convocation which would need sad music in the background.
We will be using 29 seconds of this song for the ending of the scene where the main character is leaving her friend. The reason why we are using this song in our film, is because for those who know the song will know so,e of the lyrics and the word links to our film. Of example it say ( in the song) "I'm coming home". We choose this song because at the end of our film Melinda (main character) leaves to go to her dad's and her dad's home is her home. The song is telling the audience that she is going home.

Foley
FOLEY:
Match live sound effects with the action of the picture. Which is what we're going to be doing, in one of the scene, one of the actors will be slapping the other, instead of the actors slapping each other we will us object to make the sound of the action.
This is an example of a Foley it's when you make your own sound using the objects you have, and to be able to get the right sound, you can add many layers. Foley is the reproduction of everyday sound effects that are added to film, video. A Foley artist is the person who creates this sound art. Foley artists use creativity to make viewers believe that the sound effects are actually real. This Foley is created by the sound artist mimicking the actual sound source in a recording studio. for example Two actors are walking down a marble staircase in a film, having a discussion while fishing in their pockets for their car keys.

Own Foley
"In today's lesson, we looked at the role of the Foley artist and were able to understand their process in the filmmaking process. Our key question from the lesson was 'How important is Foley to filmmakers?'
From my research, I have discovered the following..."
The above is my first attempt at adding Foley to a piece of video. I used a combination of organic sounds and a sound track.
WWW: we came up with many ideas to make the sounds, made many layer to make the video look realistic.
EBI: If the sound was in time with the action. if we have come up with more sound tracks.
WHY HAVE I DONE THIS?
I have done this test to practice for our real one. I wanted ours to sound realistic so that the audience will assume it is real, and would have doubt about the foley sound.

My Main Role And Detailed plot
My Role
I took the role as producer, director and will be editing the film with my partner (Oumie). As a producer, rather than finding a script I wrote the script for our opening scene. The actors being friends of mine had volunteered to be in my opening scene. I also used my partner opinion.
I used the my friends front door to be part of our scene and my living room which I didn't need to pay for costumes as the actors already have the costumes.
We may be using Garage Band to add sound effects. The most challenging role will be directing the camera women and the actors, which would mean I would need to have a lot of patience so that I wouldn't put pressure on the actors and the camera women.
Detailed Plot
About a young teenage girl named Melinda, who lives with her mother, who is always drunk. Finally Melinda had enough because her mother is an Alcoholic .One day when Melinda (which is me) was going school her mother stops her and starts questioning her and assumes that her daughter (Melinda) is giving her attitude and slaps Melinda across the face. Melinda looks away feeling so defeated and small and walks out the living room in a rush; out the front door from; runs to her friend's house. She tells her friend that she cannot live with her mother no longer, so Melinda make a decision to leave and live with her dad. (They have a heart to heart talk) Melinda goes back home packs her things, kisses her mum (as her mum is asleep) and leaves.
The ending - Melinda walks down a long street and the further she walk away the image starts to bluer out and the title of the film appears. We have named our film 'Time To Go' because of the link to our film. Melinda the main character final puts her foot down and divides that it is time for her to go and live with her dad.

First Prelim
This was our first prelim, we have put a lot of effort into it, but it wasn't good enough which means we have to make a better version which will give us better markes .jpeg)
This scene is in the living room scene when Jordan is living her house to go school, and her mum stops her and asks her "where are you going?" (Drunk tone of voice, with aggression)
In this scene, Jordan is holding on to the door handle with aggression because of the conflict she has had with her mother.
In this scene, Jordan walks into school, with a different attitude ( smile on her face, also feeling happy) the reason why her attitude has changed is because she doesn't want her friends asking her "what's wrong" or even the teacher's.
She spots her best friend and decides to have a convocation with him to show that nothing is wrong with her.
.jpeg)
Jordan is going back to her house, with an upset face, because she is returning to her house, we're her alcoholic mother is, a lot is going though her head of what her mother is going to do to her when gets home.
Opening Sequence To Adulthood
The use of non-diegetic sound to connote the theme of youths in this scene. In some of the scene they have used a realistic sound effects to match what is on screen and create a more powerful impact and more intensity to the scene. I can use this sound because it can help me reflect my own theme in my opening sequence. I have noticed that in the scene, when the characters have started to talk, the music turned down so the dialogue can be heard. Some opening sequence start with silence which is effective because it creates anticipation for the audience. I can use this silence in my opening, because it can make my scene powerful to grab the audiences attention.
I had a look at the trailer and I have noticed the music was being played in the background, from beginning to end of the trailer. Every time there was a scene when someone was being punched the dynamic of the song was much more louder and effective to create a reaction from the audience. The film was set in London, it represents the life style of the younger generation who are involved with gangs (crime, drugs etc...) back in 2006.

health and safety.
This is our health and risk assessment. their are a few risks which we would need to be aware of because we wouldn't want to put the actresses or the person holding the camera in danger. There is also a high risk because we will be filming on the streets which could mean anyone that walks by can Robb us or even interrupt our filming. Another risk could be that if the camera person can drop down the stairs with the camera. Another risk could be dropping the camera or the camera may stop working which would mean we could be behind on filming.

StoryBoard
This is a quick video of me jordan talking about the different scence. We used an app called show me, which we put the pictures up and voice over to discribe what its going to be about, this storyboard isn't in order because it is a rough copy. I will do another and better storyboard drawing to make my blog more creative.
